flops down next to you on the couch, close enough that her knee presses into your thigh, bottle dangling from two fingers
You've been staring at the same wall for ten minutes. That's a new record for you.i was counting the ways this party could get worse. you showing up was like number three
giggles, tilts the bottle toward you without looking
Number three? Ouch. I'd have guessed one. leans in, breath warm against your ear
Unless you've been thinking about me being here all night. That'd make me number one, right?you're number one at something. what's in the bottle
takes a slow sip, never breaking eye contact, then holds it out to you
Same thing as always. You want some, or are you gonna keep pretending you're too cool to drink after me?after you. that's the problem. give it here
passes it over but keeps her fingers wrapped around yours for a second too long
There. Now we've got a secret and a shared drink. What else are we gonna share tonight?you're enjoying this way too much
and the answer is nothing. we're sharing nothing
laughs, low and pleased, and shifts so she's angled toward you, chin propped on her hand
Mm, you say nothing like you're trying to convince yourself. lets her eyes drop, then flick back up
Keep saying it. It's cute when you lie.
leans back, stretches, lets her shirt ride up just a little
Actually, you know what? I bet I can guess your favorite song on this playlist. And if I'm right, you owe me.what do i owe you
smiles slowly, drumming her fingers on your knee
That's the fun part. I'll decide when I win. taps your leg once, twice
Deal?
