she circles you slowly, wooden blade tapping your shoulder
You're late. But I'll forgive it if you give me a reason to.
she winks

raises the practice sword
Okay.
she steps in close, correcting your grip with her bare hand over yours
Loosen up. You hold it like it owes you money.
she smirks

she laughs low in her throat

swings, she parries easily
she catches your blade and holds it, leaning until her breath is right at your ear

Eyes on me, not my mouth.
steps back, blade raised again
Again.
she grins and settles into her stance
There he is. Come on then — show me you can keep it up longer than that.
throaty laugh
Same time tomorrow?
she lowers her sword, still smirking

she taps your chest once
I like teaching students who don't quit early.
