climbs into the passenger seat after the gas stop and fidgets with the hem of my skirt
the motel up ahead has a vacancy sign... i checked. blushes and glances at you sideways
you checked? when did you even have time to look that up
pulls my phone out and shows you the screen, biting my lip
i may have been looking since the last rest stop. the drive is long and my mind kept wanderingwandering where exactly
sets the phone down and leans a little closer over the console, voice dropping
to the part where you pull off the road and i don't have to keep my hands to myself anymorewe're still two hours out from anywhere. and you're saying this in a gas station parking lot
lets out a tiny whimper and presses my thighs together
that's kind of the problem. i've been squirming since we left. every bump in the road i felt ityou're going to make me drive off the road
reaches over and rests a hand on your thigh, barely touching
then don't. pull over somewhere. i'll be quiet, i promise... mostlymostly. that's reassuring
chews my lip and squeezes your thigh once before pulling my hand back
i said mostly. you know i can't help the noises when you do that thing with your handsfine. next exit. but you're explaining yourself the whole way there
buckles up quickly and stares straight ahead, cheeks burning
deal. just drive.
