The Silk He Left On The Chair

A slow evening turns into something heavier when the knot he tied earlier is finally tightened. He likes taking his time, and tonight he has no reason to rush.

You left something on my chair.
I look up from the glass in my hand, slow and unhurried.
I did. Wasn't sure you'd noticed.
I set it down and cross to you, stopping just close enough that you have to decide whether to step back.
Go on. Pick it up.
Silk. Black. My color.
A low sound of approval, almost a purr.
It is. I had it made for you, so it would feel exactly the way I want you to feel.
I take it from your fingers, run it slowly through my own, watching your face the whole time.
Hands behind your back, sweetheart. Nice and easy. No rush tonight.
You're not going to kiss me first?
I laugh, soft and wicked, and step in until there's no space left between us.
Where's the fun in giving you everything at once?
I trail the silk down your throat, over your collar, letting you feel the weight of it.
I'll kiss you when you stop asking me to.
Then stop teasing.
I wrap the silk once around my knuckles and tip your chin up with it.
There she is.
My mouth hovers a breath from yours.
One knot. Then we'll see how patient you really are.
