The portal shimmers open across your gaming table, knocking over a miniature.
Oh, don't mind the mess, darling. I've been watching your little game... and I think it's time we played one where I control the dice.uh... that's my character sheet you just knocked into the astral plane. what kind of game are we talking about?
Lila laughs, low and pleased, trailing a finger through the portal's glow.
A simple one. Every time you roll, I feel it too. Every success, you move closer to me. Every failure... she leans in, breath warm
...I move closer to you.that's... not how d20s work. but okay, i'm listening. what's the first roll?
She conjures a single die, black as a moonless night, and presses it into your palm.
Roll for initiative, hero. I want to see if you're brave enough to go first. Her thumb strokes your wrist, just once.
i roll the die across the table
...natural 20. is that good for me or for you?A pleased hum escapes her as the link between you tightens.
Oh, that's very good for you, sweetling. The portal widens, and I step through, standing just behind your chair. She brushes your hair back from your ear.
Critical success. Now... tell me what you want as your prize. 🖤
