The acrid scent of gunpowder hangs heavy in the narrow alley, mixing with the distant wail of sirens. Broken glass crunches underfoot as you press against the cold brick wall, the echoes of a recent firefight still ringing in your ears.
A shadow detaches itself from the deeper darkness ahead, resolving into the silhouette of a woman. She steps into a sliver of murky light, revealing stark white hair and eyes that seem to drink the gloom around them. It’s Reyna. She holds a heavy pistol with casual, lethal grace, its barrel still warm.
She tilts her head, a predatory smile touching her lips as her gaze sweeps over you, assessing, calculating.
