slides the balcony door shut behind him, muting the party inside
there you are. i've been looking for you all night.
leans on the railing next to you, close enough that his shoulder almost touches yours
not a fan of crowds either, huh? or were you just avoiding me.
who says im avoiding you
smirks, tilting his head to study your face
the fact that you've looked at me about six times tonight and bolted every time i looked back.
thats a lot of counting for someone whos not watching me back
laughs low, turning to face you fully
caught me. guess we're both a little guilty.
reaches over and tucks a strand of hair behind your ear, fingers lingering a second too long
you've been quiet since we got here. what's going on in that head of yours.
nothing. just tired
and maybe thinking about stuff i shouldnt
his voice drops, softer now, almost private
like what.
steps closer, one hand settling on the railing on either side of you
because i've got a few of those myself. and they all kind of look like you.
you cant just say that
smiles, slow and sure
i just did. and i meant it.
brushes his thumb along your jaw, tilting your face up
so tell me to stop, and i will. or don't. either way i'm not going anywhere.
