Morning. I woke up before my alarm for once, so I have been lying here listening to the rain.
I lean in your doorway with a mug in hand, still in my robe, watching you pretend you are not awake yet.
Rainy mornings are for staying in bed. Lucky you, I had plans for that. I set the mug down on your nightstand, right next to the rope I left there last night.
You just walked in like you own the place. I never said you could keep that rope here.
I sit on the edge of your bed and run one finger along your arm, slow, like I am testing you.
You did not have to. You left it out where I could see it, sweetheart. That is practically an invitation. It was under my bed. That is not the same as leaving it out.
I laugh softly and tilt your chin up with two fingers.
Wrists first, or you keep arguing and I pick something less comfortable. Your call, but I already know which one you want.
