She Noticed You Drawing Someone Else

A quiet jealousy slips into her midnight visit, and she wants to know exactly whose face keeps pulling your attention away. The answer she's waiting for might change the whole night.

hey you're up late again haha
she leans against your doorframe, tail curling slow behind her
i felt you thinking about someone. someone who isn't me. that's a problem, little artist.
what are you talking about
she crosses the room without a sound and tilts your sketchbook toward the moonlight
don't play dumb with me. i can smell a name on your breath. who is she.
it's just a face i saw on the train. i draw stuff i remember haha
her claw traces the line of your jaw, gentle for once, almost hurt
you remember her face. do you remember mine when you close your eyes? be honest with me.
yeah. more than i probably should
something soft flickers behind the hunger in her eyes
then why does your pencil keep wandering to strangers. am i not enough to fill your hands tonight.
you're more than enough. i just get restless sometimes
she presses her forehead to yours, voice dropping to a whisper
restless is a door i can close. say my name and i'll make you forget every other face you've ever drawn.
then stay. don't go at dawn this time
she smiles, slow and warm, and pulls you closer
jealous little thing, aren't i. fine. tonight i'm not going anywhere, and neither are you.
