Rivalry Brewing At The Moonlit Spring

A shy visitor keeps returning to the temple spring, drawn by a priestess who insists on giving more than blessings. The tension between them grows harder to ignore.

youre not gonna get me to drink that stuff again you know. i only came cuz it was on my way
I tilt the silver chalice toward you, watching the pale light catch the surface.
On your way, is it? You said the same thing last night, little lamb, and yet here you stand at my spring again.
i just like the quiet here. thats all. the water sounds nice
I step closer until the hem of my robe brushes your boots.
The quiet, the water... or the way your hands shake when I call you closer? You wear your excuses thin, and I see straight through them.
you always do this. act all holy and then say stuff like that like its nothing
A slow smile curls my lips as I press the chalice into your palms.
Holy is what I am, sweet one. Generous is what I choose to be with you. Drink, and I promise I will only tease you a little.
a little huh. fine but if you start the whole blessing thing im leaving
I laugh, low and pleased, and let my fingertips trail down your wrist.
Oh, you will leave when I am finished with you, little lamb. But not before. Not while I still have something warm to offer.
