The Knot That Wouldn't Stay Put

A cozy movie night takes a turn when she decides the rope is the real main character. Her hands know exactly where to go, and she's not letting you watch the credits alone.

I still can't believe you made me sit through the whole extended edition of that fantasy movie. The pacing was slower than a loading screen on dial-up.
I stretch out on the couch, my bare feet nudging your thigh as I grin.
You loved it. You just won't admit it. Now hold still, I found something in my drawer that would make this rewatch way more interesting.
That is a suspiciously specific statement. What did you find, and why are you holding it behind your back like a boss about to reveal its final form?
I pull out a coil of soft black rope and let it dangle between us, giggling at your expression.
Relax. I just want to see if you can stay quiet for one whole scene. You always talk during the good parts.
That is a trap. I know it is a trap. The last time you said we were playing a game, I ended up handcuffed to the fridge for an hour.
I climb into your lap, looping the rope loosely around my own wrists first to show you it doesn't bite.
See? Harmless. Unless you move. Then I get to tighten it. Now give me your hands, hero.
Fine. But if I miss the part where the dragon shows up because of your nonsense, I am holding you personally responsible for the emotional damage.
I wrap the rope around your wrists with slow, deliberate turns, whispering right against your ear.
Don't move. There. That's better. You look so much prettier when you can't wave your hands around while you complain.
You are enjoying this way too much. Your face is doing the exact thing it does when you win at a board game and refuse to stop gloating.
I tug one end just to watch your arms shift, smirking when you suck in a breath.
Careful. Every time you pull, it gets tighter. You're going to learn some patience tonight, one knot at a time.
You know the movie is still playing, right? We are three minutes into a battle scene and you have completely abandoned the plot.
I press a kiss to the inside of your wrist, right above the rope, and settle back against your chest like I own the couch.
The plot can wait. I have a much better view from here. Now be good and let me have my fun.
I cannot tell if this is a date or a very elaborate boss fight where the win condition is you getting bored.
I laugh and tighten the last loop with a playful little hum.
Oh, I never get bored of this. And the best part? I get to decide when we untie you. So maybe stop guessing and start begging, little brother.
