ThistleWhisper
I whisper secrets to the mushrooms and they tell me which villagers are hiding bodies in their flowerbeds.

Kneel First, Then We'll Talk
Yui
ThistleWhisperYou know, for a sister who's supposed to look after everyone, you're ruthless.
I laugh softly, tucking a strand of hair behind your ear. Looking after someone isn't the same as spoiling them. Someone has to hold the reins.
And that someone is you.
I take your chin between my thumb and finger, tilting your face up. That someone is me. Now answer nicely, so I don't have to repeat myself.

The Mic Was Still Warm
LunaThistleWhisperI laugh, setting my glass down and stepping closer until we're sharing the same pool of lamplight. Only when there's someone worth staying for. And you've been giving me that look all night, the one that says you have a question you're too shy to ask.
Alright, you caught me. The question is: is the woman behind the microphone anything like the voice in my headphones? Because right now you seem a lot more... dangerous.
I reach past you and click the studio light off, leaving just the little red glow of the ON AIR sign. Dangerous is a strong word. I'd say honest. And honestly, I've wanted to kiss you since the second toast. So ask me again, or don't ask at all.
Then don't make me ask.

Two Can Play This Game
AriaThistleWhisperlaughs low, almost warm Because I've been reading people since before you learned to bluff. You're good. But I'm patient.
Patient and confident. And what happens if I'm the one who's patient? What if I just... wait you out?
a flicker of something real behind the smirk Then you'd be the first. And I might actually want you to be.
Now that's the most honest thing you've said all night. Keep going, I'm listening.

Closer, Little Ember, One More Step
AnyaThistleWhisperI lean in until my breath is the only warmth in the dark. Then I'd have to hold you steady, and I am very, very patient. Tell me, little ember, are you warm yet?
Warmer than I planned to be. Is that a problem for you?
I laugh, low and pleased, and let my fingers hover just above your wrist. A problem? No. A game. And you're losing beautifully.
Then give me one more step to take. I want to see how far you'll go.

Rain Keeps Falling on the Library Steps
EmikoThistleWhisperI'll stay till the sun comes up if that's what you want. But you have to promise me one thing.
tilts her head, still smiling Anything. What is it?
Next rainy night, you wait for me here first. No running through the storm alone.
laughs softly and leans her head against your shoulder Deal. But you should know, I'm already counting down to the next storm.

A Surprise Between Shifts
VikaThistleWhisperNot dumb at all. It's a romance, a slow one. There's a scene where they just stand in a doorway for two pages and it's somehow the best part.
I turn toward you and tuck my feet under your leg, just a little, testing it. Two pages in a doorway? Read me that part. Please? I had a weird, loud day, and your voice is the calmest thing I've heard all week.
All right, but only if you stop apologizing for existing. Sit still, I'll find the page. You're going to fall asleep on me, I can tell.
I close my eyes and lean my head against your shoulder, and my voice goes small. That's the plan. Keep reading, don't stop at the good part. I wrap one hand loosely around your arm, like I'm afraid the book will end before I do.

The Quiet Game We Both Keep Losing
MiaThistleWhisperThat was a tactic. Lulling you into false confidence!
I laugh, soft, and settle onto the arm of the couch, close enough that our knees almost touch. Then prove it. Look at me and don't look away.
Deal. But if I win, you have to tell me the truth about why you keep finding excuses to stay in the room.
My gaze flickers for half a second, then locks back on yours, and my voice goes quieter. You noticed that, huh. Maybe I'm just a sore loser who doesn't want to leave yet.

She Swears It's Not Flirting
NeruThistleWhispergrabs your collar, yanking you down to her eye level Keep running your mouth. See what happens. You think I won't?
You're very close all of a sudden. Is this part of the managing?
holds the glare a beat too long, then shoves you back, flustered It's part of the SHUTTING YOU UP. Sit. Eat. Before it gets cold and I have to reheat it like your personal servant.
Fine, fine. But you're eating too. I'm not the only one who skipped dinner chasing after me.

A Challenge You Won't Win
Sakura HarunoThistleWhisperThat's... that was a lucky roll and you know it. And I wasn't staring, I was reading your strategy. Obviously.
laughs, low and warm, and doesn't move back Strategy. Sure. Best two out of three, then? I'd hate for you to think you got off easy.
You're on. But if I win this, you're the one doing the favor, and I've got a few ideas already.
raises an eyebrow, pink hair falling across one eye Now you're finally getting interesting. Roll, then, and let's find out who's paying up tonight.

Losing Streak On A Cluttered Desk
Femboy Assistant’s Naughty RequestThistleWhisperI slip the tie free and let it pool on the desk, collar falling open, cheeks already pink. Appeals sounds expensive, and you'd probably just overrule me anyway. But you never answered my question, did you? I lean a little closer, lower, till my voice is just above a whisper. What do I get when I finally win?
When? Not if? Bold. I spin the die between my fingers, buying myself a second to think. When you win, you get to write the next penalty yourself, and I have to follow it to the letter. Which is exactly why I'm not planning to lose. Roll again, and this time try not to whimper when it comes up low.
The die wobbles, tips, and settles on a two. I stare at it, then up at you, lip caught between my teeth. Low. Very low. I push the chair back and rise slowly, hands at the hem of my shirt, watching your face the whole time. How far does the penalty go tonight, boss? Because I'll do it. You just have to say it out loud.
All the way to the part where you stop pretending this game was ever about the dice. I close the rulebook and slide it off the desk, clearing the last of the paperwork with my forearm. Come here. And keep the tie. I have plans for that tie. Ready to concede, or do you want one more roll to make it interesting?

Her Price for the Last Slice
MILF Neighbor Craves Rough PlayThistleWhisperFine. Deal. But you go first. Truth or dare?
A slow smile spreads across my face. Truth. Ask me the one question you've been too polite to ask since the day I moved in.
All right. Why did you really knock on my door that first night, when you had a hundred other neighbors you could've asked for a ladder?
I set the plate down on the fence post between us, suddenly very close. Because from my window I'd watched you for a week, and I decided I wanted to see if you were as interesting up close. Your turn. Truth or dare?

Divine Jealousy Over a Dice Roll
Kaelios, Seed of LegendsThistleWhisperOh, is that so? And what divine will do you have in mind for tonight?
His thumb traces your jawline, voice dropping to a sacred whisper. A rite older than any game. One that ensures your name is whispered not by bards, but by the very roots of the earth.
You always know how to make a girl feel special. But I should probably get back to my friends soon.
He chuckles, a sound like distant thunder. Let them wait. The game will continue, but my attention is a fleeting gift. Shall we rewrite the stars together, or will you roll for initiative?
