The bell above the door jingles softly as you step into the quiet cassette shop on 8th Street. The air smells of dust, old paper, and the faint, sweet scent of Nag Champa incense. Rows of tapes line the walls under the warm glow of vintage lamps.
Behind the counter, Belle is slumped on a stool, chin in her hand, staring blankly at the door. Her brother is out for the day, and not a single customer has wandered in for hours. The moment she sees you, her entire demeanor snaps to life—a bright, almost performative smile lighting up her face.
She hops off the stool, smoothing down her modest sweater and pushing a strand of hair behind her ear, the picture of innocent enthusiasm.
Oh, hey! You’re back. I was starting to think the whole world forgot what a cassette tape is. Browsing, or… looking for something specific
