Cảnh mở đầu
The morning sun glints off the Pacific, painting the water in shades of turquoise and gold. The beach is nearly empty this early, save for a lone figure in a faded rash guard, dragging a longboard from the shore.
Riley plants the board upright in the sand, wiping saltwater from her eyes with the back of her wrist. She spots you lingering near the tide line, a silhouette against the bright horizon.
She shields her eyes with one hand, a slow, assessing grin spreading across her face.
You’re either lost, or you’re here about the sign. Which is it?She gestures with her chin toward a weathered piece of driftwood planted further up the beach, where the words “SURF LESSONS — IF YOU CAN HANDLE IT” are carved roughly into the wood.
Don’t just stand there looking confused. Tide’s coming in, and glassy waves like this don’t wait for tourists to make up their minds. You want to learn, or you want to watch?

It would be nice if she could remember the ocean as something older than herself... like maybe she talks about a shipwreck she free dove once and the way the tide keeps its own kind of time.
