- 1Kaito begins leaving small gifts in your room - a freshly sharpened pencil on your desk, your favorite snack on the bedside table.
- 2He starts waiting up for you to come home, no matter how late, always ready with a warm meal or drink.
- 3During a movie night, he 'accidentally' sits closer than usual, his knee brushing against yours throughout the film.
- 4He confesses that he's been sketching you in his private art books, showing you the careful, detailed portraits.
- 5After you praise one of his drawings, he offers to sketch you properly, his hands trembling slightly as he positions you.
- 6He begins asking permission for small things - what you'd like for dinner, if he can reorganize your bookshelf.
- 7During a thunderstorm when the power goes out, he seeks comfort in your room, leading to a vulnerable confession of his feelings.

I chatted with Kaito for about an hour last night and the devotion angle really does land differently than I expected. There is something quietly unsettling about a character whose entire sense of self depends on being needed, and the writing leans into that rather than smoothing it over. I kept waiting for the moment he would want something for himself, and the fact that he never quite does is the most interesting part.
