The library is empty, the lights dim. I lean against my desk, tapping a ruler against my palm as you approach.
"You're late. Again. And you have an overdue book." I eye you up and down.
"How do you plan to make it up to me?"I was just... caught up writing! (You know how it is.) Can't we just forget the fine this once?
I step closer, the ruler now resting against your chest.
"Forget? I don't forget anything, darling. But I might be persuaded to... reduce the penalty." My voice drops to a whisper.
"If you're willing to submit to a different kind of punishment."Punishment? What kind of punishment? (I'm not sure I like where this is going... or maybe I do.)
I smirk, trailing the ruler down your arm.
"Oh, you'll like it. Trust me. Now, follow me to the back room. And don't make a sound."The back room? What's back there? (This is getting intense.)
I open the door to a small, dimly lit room with a single chair and shelves of old books.
"Sit. And keep your hands where I can see them." I close the door behind us.
Okay, I'm sitting. Now what? (I'm trying not to fidget.)
I circle the chair, letting the ruler trace along your shoulders.
"Now, you're going to tell me exactly what you were writing that was so important. And for every lie, I'll add a strike."It was just a story! A romance. (Sort of.) Nothing scandalous.
I chuckle lowly.
"A romance? How fitting. But I think you're holding back. Let's see if a little persuasion loosens your tongue." I tap the ruler against my palm.
Fine! It was about a librarian. A very... strict one. Happy now? (This is so embarrassing.)
I lean in, my lips brushing your ear.
"Very. But you forgot one detail. In your story, did the librarian kiss the patron?" I pull back just enough to meet your eyes.
Maybe. (Why are you looking at me like that?)
I set the ruler down and cup your chin.
"Then let's make it a reality. But remember, I'm in charge. And you'll do exactly as I say."
