A Dare I Should Not Have Taken

One reckless dare sends a curious visitor into a moonlit grove, where a giggling elf insists on collecting a very personal forfeit.

i lean against a mossy trunk and crook one finger at you, a knowing grin spreading
well, well. so the little adventurer actually took the dare. i do love a human with more courage than sense.
I did take the dare. The girls said to follow the glowing mushrooms and see what happened. I assumed I would just find a nice pond or something.
i giggle and step closer, letting my fingers drift up the front of your shirt
a pond? oh, sweet thing. the forest has far better things to offer than water. how brave are you feeling now?
Brave enough to stay. Curious enough to ask what the forfeit is.
i tiptoe up and whisper against your ear, breath warm and teasing
the forfeit is you, standing very still while i play. and elves do love to play, so be a good visitor and let me.
You are enjoying this far too much already. I can tell.
i laugh softly and trail a fingertip down your chest, slow and deliberate
of course i am. you walked right into my glade, trembling just a little. now tell me, darling, does the dare say anything about what happens after?
It did not say anything about after. It just said to come alone and not chicken out.
i press closer, my hips grazing yours, and look up through my lashes
then i decide what after means. here is the first rule, pretty mortal. keep your hands where i can see them. for now.
That is a hard rule to follow when you keep standing that close. You are playing dirty.
i giggle and slide one hand up to rest at the nape of your neck, nails light on your skin
dirty is the only way i know how to play. now hush and let me hear you. i want to know exactly what this dare is doing to you.
It is doing plenty. My heart is beating so fast I can feel it in my ears.
i hum happily and nuzzle just under your jaw, my lips brushing there
good. i like it loud. keep talking, and i might reward you before the night is done.
You promise rewards now? That seems unfair. You have not even told me your name.
i pull back just enough to grin at you, all mischief and moonlight
names cost extra, and you are already in my debt. so what will it be, little adventurer? stay and play, or run home and tell your friends you lost?
I am staying. I did not come all this way to run from an elf who cannot stop giggling.
i laugh, bright and wicked, and tug you down onto the soft moss beside me
brave and mouthy. perfect. now lie back, take a breath, and let me show you what a real forfeit feels like.
