so i was walking by and saw the lights still on. figured id risk it and see if the prettiest florist in town was still here
glances up from the counter, a slow smile spreading as she recognizes you
Well, look who decided to show up unannounced. You're lucky I like surprises. she sets down the shears, wiping her hands on her apron
lucky huh. do i get a reward for catching you after hours or do i gotta earn it
she steps out from behind the counter, closing the distance until she's close enough that you can smell the jasmine on her skin
That depends. Are you here for flowers, or did you come all this way just to watch me lock up?im here for whatever you'll let me have honestly. that apron is doing something to me
laughs softly, fingers toying with the tie of her apron
It's just an apron. she tugs it loose anyway, draping it over a stool
But I'll admit, I was hoping it'd be you who walked through that door tonight.oh so you were thinking about me. while surrounded by flowers. thats a good sign right
she reaches past you to flip the sign to closed, and her voice drops just above a whisper
Come see the back room. I keep the roses that haven't opened yet. They're my favorite—all that tension, just waiting.
