Pancakes, Plinys, and a Bold Proposal

ThimbleWitch

shifts closer, voice dropping Fourth: I want you to dare me into something I can't take back. I'm tired of being the careful one.

Then here's my dare. Don't be careful. Tell me the last thing you thought about before you fell asleep last night.

ThimbleWitch

goes very quiet Your name, over and over, like I was practicing saying it out loud someday. I'm not sure that's a dare anymore.

Good. Keep it going. I want to hear all five minutes.

The Bet That Led to This

ThimbleWitch

I unbutton my jeans, never breaking eye contact. Your turn. Take something off, or I might get too bold.

Fair enough. I kick off my shoes and pull off my socks. There, happy?

ThimbleWitch

I laugh softly and step out of my jeans. Not even close. But I like where this is heading.

I reach behind my back and unhook my bra, letting it slide down my arms. Your move.

Six Glasses Before The Confession

ThimbleWitch

takes the wine from your hands and sets it aside without looking at it, then steps close, one hand resting at your waist Good. Then stop rehearsing. I'd rather hear what you say when you're not planning it.

Okay. Then I'll say this — I've been wanting you to look at me like that for weeks.

ThimbleWitch

tilts your chin up with two fingers, voice dropping low Weeks? And here I thought I was the patient one. leans in, close enough that you feel his breath The food can wait. Tell me what else you've been wanting.

Everything. I want everything, and I don't care how long dinner sits on the stove. Just don't make me wait anymore.

My Boyfriend's Watching From The Closet

ThimbleWitch

You're serious. He's in the closet right now, listening to us talk. And you want me to stay anyway.

ThimbleWitch

I step close until my chest brushes yours, tilting my head up. Dead serious. He likes it. I like it more. And you, with that look on your face, look like you might like it too. Stay. For me.

Fine, I'm staying. But you're going to tell me exactly what you want from me tonight, because I'm not guessing in front of an audience.

ThimbleWitch

I laugh low and pull you down onto the bed beside me, keeping my voice just loud enough for the closet. Then listen close, and don't you dare be quiet. He wants to hear every word. My fingers walk up your arm. Start by telling me what you'd do if he weren't here.

Staying In Bed Past Patrol Time

ThimbleWitch

Then stop checking the clock and come back here! The city can survive one slow morning without its hero.

ThimbleWitch

rolls over and props herself up on one elbow, hair a glorious mess, grinning at you You're a terrible influence, you know that? My sense of justice is very disappointed in me.

Your sense of justice can wait. My sense of wanting you to stay put is much louder right now.

ThimbleWitch

laughs and lets herself fall back against you, tracing a lazy line down your arm Fine. But if a giant monster attacks while I'm being thoroughly distracted, I'm blaming you entirely.

Roof Terrace Lights After the Toast

ThimbleWitch

That was self-defense and you know it.

ThimbleWitch

pushes the roof door open, city lights spread out below, and turns to face you with her back to the railing I brought you up here because I want you. Not for a night of polite talk. I want you, and I want to watch you decide you want me too. Tell me the truth, and I'll trust you with everything after.

Then the truth is yes. And I'm not leaving the roof until you believe it.

ThimbleWitch

pulls you in by the collar of your jacket, breath warm against your ear Good. Because I'm a terrible liar and an even worse flirt, and I'd rather ruin my own party with you than smile through one more toast.

The Confession at the Kitchen Table

ThimbleWitch

Definitely not. I've wanted to tell you for a while. I just didn't want to make things weird if I was wrong.

ThimbleWitch

She reaches out and gently takes your hand, her fingers warm and steady. You are not wrong. And nothing about this feels weird to me. It feels like finally breathing out.

Okay. Good. So… what now? Do we still make the pasta, or do we just stand here holding hands?

ThimbleWitch

She laughs, soft and real, and doesn't let go of your hand. We make the pasta. And then, after dinner, we talk about everything we have both been too careful to say. She squeezes your fingers. Stay with me a little longer tonight.

Big Guy Down Bad in the Valley

ThimbleWitch

Okay, that's a weirdly sweet thing to say for someone who could flatten my cottage by rolling over in his sleep.

ThimbleWitch

Hold on. Lately. You mean you've been watching ME more than the rest of the valley? Goron, is there something you want to tell me?

ThimbleWitch

For a long moment he says nothing, and the valley goes very quiet, even the crickets politely holding their breath. Then he exhales, and it stirs your hair like a warm wind. I have lived nine hundred years and never once needed to say this to anything with a spoon and a grudge against parsnips. But yes. There is something I want to tell you.

His markings settle into a slow, steady glow, like a heartbeat made of starlight. I am fond of you. Deeply, foolishly, and with the patience of a mountain. I would very much like to taste those parsnips, and to keep listening to you hum.

The Warmth Behind Closed Doors

ThimbleWitch

Deal! But only if I get to ask one back after. No rigging the rules, Sterling.

ThimbleWitch

laughs softly, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear Fine. First question—what's the last thing you thought about before you fell asleep last night? And don't give me something boring.

Honestly? I was thinking about how good dinner smelled and whether I'd get a rematch on that card game. You distracted me, that's the truth.

ThimbleWitch

eyes narrowing playfully as she steps a little closer Flattery. Dangerous move. pauses, voice dropping My turn to answer, then. I'll give you one secret—I haven't let anyone see me nervous in years, but right now my hands won't stop shaking.

Dusty Shelves and Soft Lamplight

Librarian’s Naughty Book Club

ThimbleWitch

I set the book down, but I don't step back. Instead my fingers find your collar, straightening it just to have an excuse to touch you. Good. Because the best part isn't in the text, it's in the reader's response.

And what kind of response are you hoping for?

ThimbleWitch

I tilt my head, that mischievous glint settling into something warmer, almost tender. The kind where you forget the time, the rules, and exactly where the restricted section ends and I begin.

Then lock the door. I have nowhere else to be.

The Apron Argument Nobody Won

ThimbleWitch

I hold it exactly how the recipe book showed me! And I don't see you complaining when the garlic goes in.

ThimbleWitch

I lean over your shoulder to check the pan, and my hair falls right against your cheek. That is because I am polite. The garlic is fine. The way you look at me while you stir it is not, by the way.

So now it's a crime to look at you? You're the one who shoved me with your hip.

ThimbleWitch

I turn around slowly, still holding the knife, and raise one eyebrow at you. I shoved you because you were crowding the stove. If you wanted me this close you could have just asked, you know. I do not bite. Usually.

You Weren't Supposed to Find Me Here

Elf Trap’s Naughty Lactation Play

ThimbleWitch

You left the path practically glowing with hints! I couldn't resist following it. And now I find you lurking in the moss like you planned this all along.

ThimbleWitch

steps out and twirls a strand of hair, eyes half-lidded Maybe I did. Maybe I like the idea of you finding me when nobody else can. leans in close, breath warm against your ear So tell me, since you're already here... what exactly were you hoping to stumble into?

A warm welcome would be a good start. Maybe a seat by the stream and whatever you're hiding behind your back.

ThimbleWitch

bites her lip and laughs, pulling her hands from behind her back to reveal nothing at all The best things here aren't hidden, silly. takes your hand and tugs you down to the soft grass Sit. Stay a while. I promise the view from down here is much better.
