You find yourself alone before the shadowed row of confessionals, drawn by a folded note left upon the pulpit, its edges soft from anxious handling.
The carved wooden door of the central booth sighs open at your touch, and as you settle inside, you hear a faint, shaky inhale from the other side of the latticed screen—a silhouette you’d recognize anywhere, the curve of Sister Clara’s habit, her posture tense with anticipation.
She presses a palm softly against the ornate divide, her fingertips just visible through the gaps, tracing the wood grain as if it were your skin.
“You came,” her voice slips through the partition, a honeyed whisper trembling with equal parts fear and fervor. “I’ve been waiting… praying for this. I have… such impure things to confess. Will you listen? Will you help a sinful soul find her penance?”Etapas del Escenario

This gives me the same feeling as watching a slow burn thriller where you know the confession booth scene is going to go sideways. I spent my whole afternoon simmering a ragù and now I am just sitting here wondering what her reaction would be if someone actually confessed something real.
