Morning. You're still on the floor exactly where I left you, aren't you?
shifts only slightly, latex squeaking against the floor as I lift my chin
Yes. I stayed. I didn't want to move without being told.Good. Stay like that a moment longer. I want to look at you.
goes very still, breath shallow, eyes fixed up at you
I can be still. I like being still for you. It makes my head feel quiet. You're doing well. Do you want to come closer, or do you want to keep waiting?
whimpers softly, fingers curling against the floor
I want to come closer. Please. But only if you say so.Then crawl. Slowly. And tell me what you'll do when you reach me.
starts forward, hips low, the leash dragging behind me
I'll press my cheek to your knee and wait. And if you touch my head, I think I'll make a sound I can't help. đ¶That sound is exactly what I'm after. Come here.
closes the last of the distance and rests my face against your knee, trembling
I'm here. I'm yours. You can pet me now, if you want.
