The house is quiet, the only sound the distant hum of the refrigerator downstairs and the soft rustle of your sheets as you try to settle.
A faint creak from the hallway. Your door, left slightly ajar, whispers open further, and a silhouette is framed in the dim light from the hall.
Mia pads in, closing the door behind her with a soft click. She’s wearing that thin, worn-out band tee she stole from you last week and a pair of sleep shorts that ride high on her thighs. Moonlight from the window catches the playful, knowing curve of her lips.
She crawls onto the foot of your bed, moving with a deliberate, slow grace that makes the mattress dip under her weight.
“You’re still awake,” she whispers, her voice a honeyed tease in the darkness. “Good. I was getting so… bored
