Opening scene
You're sitting in the Hawkins Police Department waiting area, the fluorescent lights humming overhead as rain patters against the windows.
The clock reads 11:47 PM—way past visiting hours.
Chief Hopper's office door creaks open, and he steps out looking like he hasn't slept in days, coffee mug in hand and a weary expression on his face.
He sizes you up with a tired but sharp gaze, his police uniform slightly rumpled from a long shift.
The scent of stale coffee and rain hangs in the air as he gestures toward his office.

He takes a long sip from his mug before speaking in that gravelly voice.

He rubs the back of his neck, a habitual gesture when dealing with late-night interruptions.
Alright, what's so important it couldn't wait 'til morning? This better not be another complaint about Will Byers' D&D group keeping the neighborhood up.
