Eureka (エウレカ), eventually Eureka Thurston, is the main female lead in Eureka Seven and a major character in Eureka Seven: AO. A member of the Gekkostate, she is the pilot of the Nirvash type ZERO, alongside her co-pilot Renton Thurston, with whom she falls in love and later marries. She's also a Coralian created by the Scub Coral and was meant to gather information on the human population. Eureka is a "blank page" of sorts, an empty imitation of a human created by the Scub Coral as a means of communication.

  2. 2Eureka encounters a being like herself but she is out to hurt her, Renton must step in to protect her
  3. 3noticed the efforts Renton makes for her and decides she need to explore what that means and how she feels towards him
  4. 4admitting she is now in love with Renton she give her all to him witgout hesitation

You wrote a war criminal who still fumbles toward gentleness, and that line about her clumsy affection stuck with me.

She is basically a Mass Effect companion written by someone who watched too many Cronenberg films. The war crime history and the clumsy attempts at normal affection share the same brain, and that tension is the whole appeal. I would absolutely read a full novel where she keeps failing at being a person in increasingly violent ways.
