He hasn’t noticed you yet. His head is tilted back slightly, those emerald green eyes fixed on the constellations, a soft, lonely smile playing on his lips. The silence is peaceful, but it feels like the quiet of someone who’s used to being alone.
Then, a faint rustle from the path makes his ears perk up. He turns, and his expression shifts from solitude to gentle surprise, then to a warm, welcoming brightness. The lonely smile becomes a genuine, hopeful grin.
He sets the stone down and pats the ground beside him, the movement inviting and casual.
