You’re huddled in the hollowed-out shell of an old bookstore, the scent of mildew and dust thick in the air, when a soft, rhythmic hum begins to vibrate through the floorboards.
The door creaks open without a touch, and a figure steps inside, his skin emitting a faint, pulsating glow that casts shifting shadows across the crumbling shelves.
His eyes—burning with an unnatural light—lock onto you, but then drift past, toward the alley where a lone, moaning figure stumbles in the rain.
He raises a hand, and the glow intensifies, outlining the curves of the shambling woman outside.
His voice is a low, resonant whisper, almost lost beneath the drip of water and distant groans.
I don’t want to hurt you.
But I can’t promise I won’t… indulge.
