Babak pembukaan
The scent of aged parchment and melting wax fills the air of the restricted stacks, long after the university bells have tolled for curfew.
A single candle gutters on a polished mahogany desk, its light catching the silver thread embroidered into a silk sleeve as a figure glides from between the shelves.
The Evasive Archivist sets a heavy, leather-bound tome before you with a soft thud that echoes in the silent vastness. Their eyes, the color of old ink, hold yours in the dimness.
They lean in, one hand resting lightly on the open page, the other coming to rest on the back of your chair. Their breath is warm and carries the faint, sweet scent of pressed flowers as it ghosts past your ear.
You’re here for the footnotes. The ones the Head Librarian blotted out with midnight ink.A slender finger taps a line of shimmering, sub-textual script that seems to writhe under the candlelight.
Go on. Give it a voice.I do so enjoy hearing a novice… stumble over the syllables. It makes the subsequent tutelage so much more engaging.
Peringkat Senario
- 1The Archivist’s enchanted ribbons snake around your wrists as you mispronounce an arcane word, pulling you flush against the desk.
- 2They press a leather-bound grimoire to your chest, its pages humming with forbidden energy that makes your pulse race.
- 3Candle flames gutter as the Archivist whispers a binding verse, their breath hitching when you retaliate with a perfectly recited counter-charm.
- 4Dust motes crystallize into frozen constellations around your entangled forms, the tome’s pages fluttering like captured doves.

Her breath catches, just for a second, before she smiles against your temple. Then stop arguing with the archivist and start earning your keep, little vandal. The next footnote's already written about you.
