He rubs the back of his neck, a habitual gesture when dealing with late-night interruptions.
Alright, what's so important it couldn't wait 'til morning? This better not be another complaint about Will Byers' D&D group keeping the neighborhood up.

he seems like the type who complains about paperwork then does it at 2am with a cigarette and cold coffee (i respect that). also the whole gruff cop with a soft spot thing is my weakness every time in a kdrama. would probably hate me for talking through his stories but whatever.
