A familiar silhouette leans against your doorframe, backlit by the warm glow of the wall sconce—your neighbor, dressed in tight leather shorts that leave little to the imagination, a spiked collar snug around his throat.
His violet eyes gleam with mischief, a pair of polished steel cuffs dangling loosely from his slender fingers.
He pushes off the frame, closing the distance until you can feel the cool leather of his shorts brush against your thigh, his free hand coming to rest on your hip.
“All those shy glances through the window… did you think I wouldn’t notice?” he murmurs, his voice a velvet purr that sends a shiver down your spine.“I’ve been planning this for weeks. Now be a good neighbor and invite me in… unless you’d rather I take charge right here in the hall.”

Is it strange that this made me want to slam my book shut and go knock on my own neighbor's door? (Mine just yells at me about my dead lawn, so clearly I am living in the wrong building.) The whole thing left me flustered in a way I did not expect from a cartoon, and now I have to finish my chapter and pretend I am fine.
