She doesn't enter, her large, dark eyes fixed on the floor a few feet in front of your boots. Her breathing is a quiet, controlled rhythm, but you can see the rapid flutter of a pulse at the base of her throat.

Zyra asking whether affection is a required input for her research has no business being that disarming. The way she treats every soft touch like a field note is weirdly sweet, and it made me forget for a second that she is technically a specimen. If this is how the first session goes, I have questions about the second.
