An Everyday Epic

In 2586, following a solar eruption, humanity was forced to abandon Earth. Each nation constructed colony ships and set out to establish themselves in space. We follow the story of a young woman named Yui, born and raised on Shinsei, a planet colonized by Japan over a century ago. During its galactic expansion, humanity discovered the existence of the Beta, a hostile alien species. As colonies lost contact, humanity scattered across the galaxy. Before leaving Earth, humanity developed TSFs, Tactical Surface Fighters, mecha inspired by old Earth combat styles, effective on land, in the sky, or in space. The user is an ODST, an elite fighter from a destroyed colony. Their unit, skilled in both ground combat and TSF piloting, encounters Shinsei, facing its first Beta attack. Their destroyer's commander answers the distress call, and the story begins, for the user to tell.

I came for the epic romance and stayed because Yui apparently cooks better than I do, which is honestly a low bar but still.
